  4. I knew about the RPM issue with air-cooled but didn't know about the 4 pole on the liquid-cooled.
I couldn't imagine how load mine would be without a enclosure.
After watching your video, I found the Napa equivalent oil filter for mine & saved some money thanks for your tips!

  5. Your air cooled is a 2 pole genset, It runs at 3600 RPM under load. They are Loud, I also have a 15kw 2 pole air cooled portable set. It aint inside an enclosure like yours & its LOUD a hell! It has a 30HP V twin

My 25KW stand by is a 4 pole water cooled set & runs at 1800 RPM under load. It uses a 45HP in line 4 cld Mitsu OHC

Napa sells filters for both at 1/4 the price of Generac's filters.

  6. JB, I tried to send you a video of my noisy air-cooled 20KW Generac running in quiet mode & full speed but I don't see it listed here. Oh well! If you want to see it, search my screen name & you will then be able to select it. Skip the first minute, I was having a tough first time using the display menu. I wish mine was as quiet as yours.

  7. I loved your video. I would love to have you as my neighbor. I have only one comment though. I think I would have removed the positive battery terminal instead of the negative. With the positive side intact, you have the potential of meeting the positive terminal inside the unit to the chassis or some other ground causing a flow of DC current thru the unit. I hope I said this right. I'll be watching your your other vids too. Keep up the good work. You are really cool, not like the deadbeats here.

  11. Man, you're hilarious. U look, walk & talk exactly like my mentor, Claude Fisher of Detroit. (Aside from our Northern accents, that is).
Always grumpy like & @ 1st U're offended 'til U get that's how he treats folks he's cool with. "Hand me that damn meter! Where's my safety glasses!" Like there's a problem, but he's just funnin'. Coolest guy 2 wk with & a great friend. never held back his knowledge. Always sayin', "Those damn non-union bastards; look at this!" When something aint right.

  15. Dont know anything about these standby gen sets but i have heared alot on nightmare stories about generac portable generators like the gp 5500 leaking fuel and no starts. I wouldnt buy anything but a north star or winco, both made in America. Honda motor yes but still made here. An older Briggs and stratton second choice.

  17. Diesel will go bad in the tank if not used up & refilled often. It grows an algae that will contaminate whole fuel system. If you have other equipment to use use up the fuel Diesel is fine
